The role of white matter organization in childhood inhibitory control

thesis
posted on 2024-10-31, 03:15 authored by Mervynderjeet Rikhraj Singh
This thesis investigated the relationship between fronto-basal-ganglia white matter and response inhibition development in children with and without Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Using state-of-the-art methods, this thesis demonstrated the crucial role of attentional lapses in driving inhibitory deficits in children with ADHD. Interestingly, fronto-basal-ganglia white matter did not appear to be implicated in the behavioural profile in children with ADHD.
