The research investigated the opinions of English teachers, teacher librarians and cohorts of middle school students (years seven, eight and nine) concerning the reading of fictional texts and issues of reading identity. The three folio pieces examined adolescent boys and reading, authors visiting secondary schools, and authors' narratives.
