Twinning Dislocation Modelling of Precipitate Strengthening in Magnesium Alloys

This study employs dislocation dynamics simulations to model the interaction between a propagating deformation twin and non-shearable precipitates. A modified Orowan equation applicable to twinning propagation is derived to estimate the precipitate strengthening of deformation twinning in magnesium alloys.
