Understanding Local Deformation in Flexible Roll Forming and its Effect on Wrinkling

This thesis explored the local deformation behaviour in the Flexible Roll Forming process that contributed to wrinkling development. The study outcome showed that the region near the tool's contact with non-linear deformation behaviour and curved shape is critical to wrinkle formation. Effective defect compensation was implemented based on the understanding.<p></p>
