Understanding forming limits in conventional and variable depth roll forming

This study provides insights into the conventional roll forming process. This study shows that the fracture limit of sheet metal roll forming is not higher, and it is the same as in simple bending. The study later proposes the first step that may enable the forming of complex part shapes in conventional roll formers.
