The COVID-19 pandemic impacted higher education globally, resulting in temporary campus closures and a transition to remote learning. This transition posed significant challenges for PhD students, affecting their productivity, wellbeing, and timely completion of their degrees. However, there is limited research on international PhD students during COVID-19, particularly in intercultural and transnational contexts.
