Water management from basin to biofilm

This research assessed the ecological impacts of an environmental flow prescription by comparing the stream microbiome in managed and unmanaged reaches. The findings indicated that environmental flow releases may produce an unnatural thermal regime and may not generate the same changes in the stream microbiome as natural flow pulses.
