The study investigated the wet spinning of regenerated silk fibres from three different type of additive-free silk solution containing: high molecular weight (MW) silk solution using a rapid Bayesian algorithm; various blends of low and high MW silks; and silk nanofibres/high and low MW suspensions. This work brought new understanding on wet spinning of regenerated silks from aqueous solution and produced fibres with improved mechanical properties.
