This thesis was an in-depth phenomenological study of former students from Christian schools. Their perceptions revealed a protected and sheltered schooling experience and the challenges encountered when connecting with other worldviews. Whilst at school participants had a strong sense of belonging which was entwined in the shaping of personal identity.
