This thesis demonstrated the synthesis of zinc and magnesium doped hydroxyapatite-urea nano-fertilizer for targeted nutrient delivery to wheat and rice crops. This study presented the advantages of 'doping' as a method for tailoring the properties of nanoparticles for extended agricultural applications. The use of nano-fertilizers significantly cut down the nitrogen fertilizer application to farmlands.
