COLOURING COMPETITION BOOK
It contains five pictures for you to colour. When you have completed them, send the one you like best as your entry.
NOTE:—The picture appearing on the inside back cover is for practice purposes only.
FOLLOW THESE FIVE SIMPLE RULES
1. Send ONE picture only. Please mail flat to address below.
2. You may use crayon, coloured pencils, pastels or water colours.
3. See that your name, address and age last birthday are written (BLOCK LETTERS) on the back of the picture which you enter.
4. Make sure that the Certificate is signed.
5. Although it is not essential that the C.O.R colours—red, white and blue —be used in colouring the motor spirit pumps, road tankers and signs appearing in the drawings, use of this colour combination could influence the judges.

THE JUDGES' DECISIONS MUST BE ACCEPTED AS FINAL AND BINDING.
* 14 YEARS OLD ENTRANTS PLEASE NOTE: You are eligible to enter this competition so long as your 15th birthday does not fall before the closing date of competition. .

- £100 BURSARY-
At the conclusion of the competition the 1st Prize (Group C) winning entries from all States will be judged for a Commonwealth Bursary to the value of £100 for educational purposes.
The name of the Bursary Winner will be announced in the press on 15th January, 1955, and at a convenient later date the winner and chaperon will be flown by T.A.A. to Canberra to receive the Bursary at the hands of the Commonwealth Minister for Transport or his deputy.
'When you're out on your bike, don't forget to keep well over to the left of the street. When you come to cross-roads, always give your signal clearly and in plenty of time. Remember it is best to ride in single file. Never whip behind.'

2. Eyes Right.
3. Eyes Left.
4. Eyes Right Again.
5. Then if the road is clear, walk straight across and don't run/

'If you have to walk on the road because there is no footpath, always make sure you walk on the right hand side facing the traffic
If it's dark carry a torch or something white like
'Listen, pals, when you are travelling by bus or tram, keep well away from open doors and do not skylark in the vehicle. Always wait until the vehicle has stopped before getting on or off/
