Critical teachers as early adopters of technology : agency and structures of indifference in higher education
Spratt, Christine. 2002, Critical teachers as early adopters of technology : agency and structures of indifference in higher education, Ph.D. thesis, School of Social and Cultural Studies in Education, Deakin University.
The thesis is a critical investigation of contemporary issues in the academy, information technologies, agency, structure and critical teaching. It argues that critical teachers as early adopters of technology are paradoxically reified and marginalised within the contemporary discourses of "flexibility" and "going online" and attendant organisational structures of indifference.
