Longitudinal evaluation of a risk-factor model for adolescent suicidality
Thomas, Kathryn Ann 2004, Longitudinal evaluation of a risk-factor model for adolescent suicidality, Ph.D. thesis, School of Psychology, Deakin University.
This research developed a model of risk factors for adolescent depression and suicide, demonstrating that cold and controlling parenting styles influence an adolescent's personality, which in turn influences mood, and suicidal behaviour. For the most at-risk adolescents, introduction to the "Reach Out!" internet site improved emotional well-being.
