Management of SPMD based parallel processing on clusters of workstations
Hobbs, M. (Michael) 1998, Management of SPMD based parallel processing on clusters of workstations, Ph.D. thesis, School of Computing and Mathematics, Deakin University.
Clusters of workstations have the potential to compete with supercomputers or massively parallel processors. Poor management support for parallel processing has prevented the realisation of their full potential. This thesis presents a solution which provides users with an environment that improves performance, relieves them from manual parallelism management and makes programming simpler.
