Leading lights : the promotion of garden suburb plans and planners in interwar Australia
Nichols, David Graham. 2001, Leading lights : the promotion of garden suburb plans and planners in interwar Australia, Ph.D. thesis, School of Australian and International Studies, Deakin University.
Explores the rise of town planning in interwar Australia, concentrating largely on the 1920s real estate 'boom'. Whereas previous studies have concentrated on government-centred planning, examination of the lives, work, and self-promotion of four principal planners of the era reveals innovative and ambitious work for commercial land developers.
