This research investigated adolescent boys' body image and body change strategies, sociocultural messages, negative affect and self-esteem. A prevention program was developed that targeted adolescent boys. The program was successful in improving satisfaction and importance of muscles, psychological adjustment and preventing health compromising body change strategies.
