This thesis explores the everyday, professional, adult learning of VCAL educators. Educators in this study frequently learnt through haphazard struggle in contexts unsupportive of their learning needs. Increasing potential for VCAL educators’ professional learning includes challenging established practices of how VCAL and applied learning is perceived, spoken about and resourced.
