Summary Model Citizenship symposium will address the issues, ideas and approaches to works in Model Citizenship Exhibition, to be held at RMIT gallery in Feb 2019. Presentations by the contributing artist will be followed by Q&A and discussions with our guest respondent Karen Barad. The symposium will explore how modelling shapes what counts as knowledge and how statistical models, digital models, simulations, mathematical models, process models, clay models, scale models, in-situ performative models — define and refine the relationships of a world-in-the-making. In this way, art plays a crucial role in producing the conditions to interrogate model forms of citizenship which the interactive, multi-installation exhibition will explore.
